Join us for a 2-day in-person workshop for grades 9-12 educators focused on enhancing instructional strategies using storyline teaching. Explore phenomena-based instruction, use a Driving Question Board to promote student questions and ownership, and engage in student discussion. Participants will work with an OpenSciEd High School Biology unit to foster students’ sense-making and promote deep understanding of Science and Engineering Practices. Collaborate and plan for implementation of your learning in your own classrooms with your peers! 

Dates:  Monday, May 6th and Tuesday, May 7th, 2024 (8:30 AM – 3:30 PM ET)
Location: Forest Park, Springfield, MA
Cost: FREE for eligible MA educators with $300 substitute pay. $250 per non-qualifying educator.
Credit: 14 PDPs or 1 graduate credit and 22.5 PDPs for an additional fee
